So when I contact the WD Support, they suggested that there is more likely to be something wrong with my primary computer. I've used some WD troubleshooting tools to run tests on the device,Īnd they got passed. I can open it, edit files in Explorer, and change the letter of the disk with Disk Management. However, it is working simultaneously with my other computer (running windows 10 as well). I tried theĭiskpart command as well, not showing in the disk list. I have also tried some solutions via regedit.īut it's still not showing in My Computer, not in Disk Management. I have tried to reboot myĬomputer for many times.

I have tried to uninstall it and reconnect it. I can see the device as a large USB storage device in the device manager. Today, when I was trying to do a back-up, I connected this device to my computer, but it was not showing up. I'm using a WD Passport Ultra 1TB external hard drive as the back-up device for my computer, and it worked perfectly for the last few months.
